Methodology
How we measure.
One formula for every product. Two scores that are never mixed. And a clear line between what we earn and what we rate.
The weighting
Test score = 0.35 × Taste + 0.20 × Longevity + 0.25 × Comfort + 0.20 × Value
- Taste – How good the flavour is.
- Longevity – How long the flavour lasts.
- Comfort – Pouch feel, moisture, burn, drip.
- Value – Price per pouch relative to quality.
Each criterion is scored from 1 to 10; the test score is the weighted average. Longevity was added later: tests without it are scored on the other criteria, re-weighted to 100 %.

Strength levels
Brands use their own dot scales, which can’t be compared across brands. We group every product by its nicotine content per pouch. Tobacco snus releases nicotine less efficiently than a pouch, so it has its own bands: a regular snus with 8 mg is “Normal”, not “Strong”.
| Level | Nicotine pouch (mg) | Tobacco snus (mg) |
|---|---|---|
| Low | up to 3 | up to 5 |
| Normal | over 3 up to 6 | over 5 up to 10 |
| Strong | over 6 up to 9 | over 10 up to 14 |
| Extra strong | over 9 up to 13 | over 14 up to 20 |
| Ultra strong | more than 13 | more than 20 |

Why kick isn’t scored
A stronger kick isn’t better or worse – it depends on what you want. That’s why kick is shown on its own 1–10 scale and you can filter by it, but it never changes a product’s score.
Community score
Shown next to ours. Never blended in.
- One review per account and product.
- The same four criteria and the same formula as our test.
- A spam filter plus reporting; moderators hide abuse, never opinions.
- The number of reviews is always shown next to the score.
